Truth and Dare

Truth: Everything you want is just outside your comfort zone... - thanks Connie!

Truth: I'm relocating. My world is upside down. I'm trying to find new healthy options at new restaurants and stores, with less time to cook than ever. I've been striving for the daily 10000 steps a day and given how busy work is, I'm satisfied when I get over 7500 since the avg person does around 3000 steps/day.

DARE:
Do I dare recommit to cooking more? I'm home so little, that I think that would not be a good use of financial or time resources.
Do I dare keep fitness in mind and look for housing around national, state, or county parks with walking/hiking trails?
Do I dare establish a social network based on maintaining a healthy lifestyle?
Do I dare look for a 5k or running group to help me find the inner athlete?
Do I join a gym?
Do I find a CrossFit gym to continue my fitness journey along the Primal route?
Or do I dare adopt the smarter science of slim exercise approach )along with continued walks and "outdoor play"?

My re-commitments:

1. I will be driving my car to Charlotte in a week or so and will pack key kitchen items I've missed (including my steamer, salt free spices, etc.).
2. I will be bringing my exercise equipment necessary for the Smarter Science of Slim - including kettle bell. Pull up bar, and step and will add these new activities to my regular routine.
3. I will also be more vigilant in identifying ways to focus on more lean proteins, veggies, and water.
4. Finally, I will NOT get caught up in the 'distractions' of some of the teams I am currently engaged in and will refocus my efforts on the activities that have brought me success in the past and will continue my personal journey towards health. If necessary, I will leave a few teams if I cannot fully participate and support to expected levels.

Sounds like a reasonable plan. Best wishes on your relocating. I like your last item about not getting caught up in the "distractions of some teams". Just doing the basics if time is limited and sticking with what you know works well for you keeps the momentum going. emoticon Not quite "Tink", but it's the thought that counts, right?
