30-Day Juice Journey -- Day 5

Well, I'm sitting here sipping my orange/pineapple/strawberry ginger juice this morning, and I have to say mornings are always a highlight for me. The juice is better. My energy is higher (except during my TaeBo workout), and I'm not experiencing hunger.
I've gone down about 4.5 lbs. total since I started. Not bad at all. Honestly, I haven't observed any health benefits yet. I'm still kind of sluggish, and my allergies are still rearing their ugly head. But it's only day 5, so I'm optimistic.
I should probably be drinking more water. I've been sipping on cucumber water, but I'm getting a little weary of it. I may switch over to orange water today (sliced up oranges in water). Gives plain water a little 'kick'.
My husband liked this morning's juice very much. He said it tasted like an Orange Julius. He's juicing 3 days a week with me. I had hoped he would do the whole month, but this is our compromise. I told him this afternoon's juice would likely not be as tantalizing. Sad face.
I'm going to try to go by the recipes of experienced juicers more often so I don't end up with some of these Frankenstein concoctions I've been coming up with that are a little difficult to ingest.
I've been making a habit of going to YouTube and watching vlogs from people who have done juice fasts. Today, I'll watch a collection of videos from day 5 of other juicers. It's really been helping me to get in the mindset of what to expect from day to day.
I have to admit, I've been getting a little impatient lately -- just wanting to be further along in the process of juicing, healthy living and weight loss in general. I'll be working on getting my focus tuned, and enjoying the process more.
Symptoms I'm experiencing today: Dry lips, sluggishness, allergies
Still waiting for the high-energy thing to kick in. Enjoying my morning juice cocktail in the meantime.
