Just a few thoughts from the week

- I am less than 10 pounds away from a healthy BMI (9 lbs to be exact - 158)! I can begin to see the end in sight, which is crazy to me since I just started the change of lifestyle in January. I love seeing that progress, especially now that my goal weight is only 17 lbs away. I can almost taste it.

- I cooked a healthy dinner and now I feel like an adult... WOW. What amazes me even more is I now like to cook. I went from swearing up and down I'd never be domestic, but who knew I'd love it so much. For the record, I still don't like the cleaning part, haha. For the record, I made a tomato sauce with shrimp and tofu pasta. The sauce had canned tomatoes, garlic and onion powder, basil, oregano, bay leaves, chili flakes, red wine (yum!), and shrimp. If you haven't tried tofu pasta - GET IT! It's a little expensive, but for only 20 calories per serving it's absolutely worth it.

- Last item -- I actually broke the 170s. I never ever thought I'd see that day. Being perfectly honest, there are still way too many moments when I don't realize how far I've come. Because it's gradual for me (looking in the mirror everyday) I forget every so often. I'm sure I can write a whole blog about that alone, but it's like I see other girls shopping and in my head I'm still much bigger than them. Then I realize, oh wait, we're the same size. I need to get the voice out of my head that says "Who does she think she is shopping for a size 10... that girl needs to dress in her size." Well, yea, that is my size - crazy! It's exciting, but I'm sure it's something I'm going to deal with for a while.

Overall, feeling amazing about my progress and new life. Why didn't I do this sooner? ;)
