C25K with soldiers? No thanks!

After weighing myself this morning and being down another 2lbs, I decided to give c25K another shot. I've been really slacking in this area, I've been blaming my knees and they have been feeling much better lately so I thought, let's do it.
Josh was home with Elliott so after I got JJ on the bus, I took off. So, I'm heading out my typical route and I see a huge group of soldiers on the path doing a ruck march.
I'm still pretty self conscious and I wanted to jog so I was trying to decide whether to go with them or just go a different route when I saw their unit patches. They were all in my husbands battalion.
Not going with them!
So I cut across the traffic circle (they had already stopped traffic for all the soldiers lol) bumped into my friends hubby (said hello) and decided to go through the park instead to do C25K.
In going through the park though, I had a wonderful experience of going up commo hill. For those who know commo hill, it's not fun. I will admit I skipped the run up the hill, I walked instead and ran down the other side (yup, totally cheated there lol!!!) I was shocked when I got home and mapped the run and it was 2.8 miles and I did it in 35 minutes!!! I was shocked!
I'm so impressed that after all I have put my body through over the years, it is holding up and still being amazing. I always say that kids are so resilient, but so am I! So is this body I've been given!!!
I'm so thrilled today. Maybe someday I'll run with the soldiers, but today because I didn't want to be embarrassed, I took the harder path and worked myself even harder :)
