My Virtual Trek Across the Pacific Crest

Wednesday, May 16, 2012

The red star in Death Valley denotes how far I have walked. I have been tracking my steps both on Spark and America On The Move, I'm currently navigating the virtual trail along the Pacific Crest, from north of the border of Mexico, through California to Canada. Since beginning my challenge on 05/08/2012, I have taken a total of 92,078 steps in 8 days. My current daily average step count is 11,509. To complete my trail by the end of my challenge on 06/19/2012 (six weeks from start), I must continue to take an average of 9,765 steps per day.

Some day I plan to actually hike this trail. Meanwhile, I'm taking baby steps toward a stronger and healthier me, so the virtual can become a reality!

Way to go! It really does all start with one step, eh? I hope that you get to do this trek for real some day, but at least for now you're getting it in in a way. Keep up the great work!
