Lovely Tuesday!

Wednesday, May 16, 2012

Today has been a great day! I slept good, I woke up in a good mood and ready to get stuff done. I mean I had my kitchen cleaned, swept and then Vacuumed my living room before breakfast. But it felt good cause I was able to enjoy my coffee and breakfast with out thinking "bah, after this I have to clean" emoticon

I had great will Power today. My husband and Room mate ordered Pizza and I had 1 slice and that was it. I didn't think twice about having another. INFACT when I got hungry a little later I went in the fridge and made myself a nice salad. emoticon SUUURE I could have just grabbed another slice of pizza but Nope....I was happy with my 1 slice. emoticon

So after Hubby went to bed I went for a walk but on my walk I felt like my energy level was to low to do any real Cardio. So I didn't do my speed walk of doom or try jogging. The way I see it....I'm walking my mile and regardless if it's at my normal walking pace or my speed walk of doom...At least I'm off my couch and exercising. I could have easily said "eh i have no energy I'll do it tomorrow"....But I'm working on No excuses! emoticonAlthough,When I got home I did feel like I could do some light toning exercises. I must say...My arms look thinner! I'm not going to measure....I want to be surprised when its Measurement week. But I tell ya, I feel changes! emoticon

Ok well I have nothing else to report. I hope you all stayed motivated today and kept to your goals. I'm rooting for all of you. emoticon

Little tip for you: eat something small within a half hour of waking up. It helps jump start your metabolism. Doing all of that housework before eating can actually slow your metabolism. As for the pizza, I think you made an awesome Do Better choice by choosing moderation and just 1 slice to savor the flavor then following it with something healthy. No need to give up everything you used to love eating as long as you can have just a little then move on. Same thing with choosing to take a slow and easy walk instead of doing nothing. I think you're getting a hang of this healthier lifestyle thing! And the fact that you can feel changes should help motivate you to keep going!

what a great Tuesday! I'm especially proud of the "only grabbing one piece of pizza" part, because that's something hard for me to do. I love pizza more than breathing, I think. emoticon Seriously... it's a problem. emoticon

And it's very true that as long as you're moving, you don't have to be killing yourself to do it! In fact, I've heard that walking is BETTER than running, because running can cause so many injuries

We're going to get where we wanna go, and we're gonna WALK there. emoticon One step at a time! emoticon
