Changes, and more changes, but worth the changes!!!!

Tuesday, May 15, 2012

Life is an amazing journey and glad that I can share all of this with you. Life has been hectic and busy with all of these changes and not always able to drop in to let you all know what is going on. However, will try to bring you up to date and let you in on the changes. Many of them are for the best and that is what I am focusing on these days.

First of all the gentleman i was to marry last spring turned out to be a huge jerk. Glad I found out before I had said I do. But despite all of this I didn't let the weight go the other way, just kept focused on where I wanted the scale to go and that is down and down I went in weight despite all for the stress and pressures I was under. the one I felt sorriest in the relationship with him, was his daughter. She could sure use a maternal hand and a womans touch, however I know she will get through this and realize that if a relationship doesn't feel right it is okay to say goodbye and walk away.

However, another friend who I have been friends for nearly two years had asked me twice to be his wife, and I turned him down twice. However when he asked me the third time I really took the time to look at things and realized I had been loved, cherished, and wanted but hadn't seen it for the nose on my face. I finally accepted him on November 8th last year and we have been very ecstatic and happy since. He was always telling me it would work out with the other gentleman and to have patience. I tell him he had the patience of JOB, and for that I am ever grateful. As he saw what he wanted and waited for it to be his. I'm so happy that John has asked me to be his bride and the mother for his motherless son. i look forward to the challenge, and love them both.

john is an officer in the Us army, and about to retire in August. So we are going to start our new family, and do some traveling, and setting up our new home here in the Pacific Northwest. We are buying a home, and going to live here till we change our minds.

john has a 9 year old son that is a precious gift for me to help raise. he is into soccer, and loves to draw and is very artistic as well. So will love encourage him all I can and help him eat better and healthier, and in better shape then he is now. We plan on doing this as a family and that will be good for all of us.

John and I are planning a Military/Victorian/ Romantic/ and Elegant wedding. We are planning a sit down dinner for 150 guests and dancing and karaoke as well. Plus a few surprises for the guests and the groom along the way.

John and I plan on enjoying the grandkids, great-grandkids, and the kids as well. Sharing our joy and happiness as a family, and also with the extended families as well . We plan on traveling, and enjoying life to its fullest.

During this time I have come to realize, that in spite of all I have done to get my weight down over the last 8 years, I have come closer to reaching my goals of getting below 300 and closer to the time that I can have the ankle replacement, and the double knee replacements as well. Wow have less then 90 pounds to go before I can have the ankle replacement. This has been a big deal for me as I never thought the day would come, I was worried i would lose focus on my goals. However, that hasn't been the case. I have focused on my eating, exercise, and keeping a positive attitude about keeping myself focused on my goals. Yes it has been hard, but very worth the struggle and so glad that I have remained focused on them.

i know I too at times felt I had lost my way, then would go back and reread my blogs and realize that I hadn't, just lost track for the moment. We can do this, I can do this, and you to can do this. We all just need to remain focused on our goals and remember that all good things are worth waiting for like True love is. So with this in mind I am staying on tracked and proud to say that since January of 2011 I have lost a grand total of 140.15 pounds!!!!!!!!!! What a remarkable feat that is , and so proud I have done this.

That means the dress for my wedding dress, won't be a 5X but a 3X. OMG I have made such progress that it is still astounding as I look at where I am at with my goals. That is such an inspiration to me to keep focused and keep losing. As When John retires from the army I may still have a smaller dress size yet too. That is my goal and so I look good on his arm that day.

We all need to remember we may have set backs but they are only temporary , but that is the best thing. We have to remember that each day is a new beginning and that is what makes our journey of weight loss remarkable to say the least. I pray that all of you are doing well and staying on track with your weight loss journeys as well. Keep up the good work, and Know that I too am staying on track despite of the hectic last year.

So ladies and gentleman lets keep moving the scale in the direction we need it to go. That way we will remain on track for our future. Also remember to keep drinking the ice water as that is a way to keep burning calories and not gaining the weight. Keep up the good work one and all.
