son #2 the Pilot likes this picture!--Hi to you out in California!
Last night I watched , ""The Weight Of The Nation""--on TV---
It was a special-----and I believe it will be continued--
It was great!----
It was all on the benifits of weight loss--how difficult it is to maintain a weight loss---exercise--calories--how TV ads work against us---surgery to lose weight---
It wasn't written by SPARK, but it might as well have been---
It showed 2 middle aged women who had lost a tremendous amount of weight, and 9 yrs later, they have maintained their weight loss
--They are still journaling and measuring their food--They will have to be vigilant about their portions and calories forever-
----------- if any of you see it, please let me know---
It was a great inspiration for me!

So-----life rolls on here--The Dreadmill is calling.
my journal is on the table---
I will limit my calories to 1100 to-day---I WILL---I CAN DO THIS!--I WILL be healthier for this-----WE CAN!----POSITIVE THOUGHTS here!!!

    HI there,

That show scared me straight! I thought the same thing- that Spark might as well have produced it. It was perfectly, aligned with the Spark principles, wasn't it?

I checked out their site, and they have screening kits. I am hoping I requested one in time.

Didn't get to see it! But it sounds like the same msg. as SPARK. In my own personal maintenance journey I find out daily how important it is to just stick to the basics:

    itor portion size
    balance exercise/rest
    track your food

If you do those things then any measure you use to track your progress/maintenance will give you positive messages . . . slowly but surely!

The thing about limiting calories is that you eventually get hungry. Sounds torturous to me. That's why so many people gain all their weight back and then some. There is a better way. Best wishes... Suzanne emoticon
