Almost Half of the Way There

I weighed myself yesterday morning - usual routine, wake up really early, get on the scale, see where I am. I'm very happy to report that I lost another 2 lbs last week! I'm down to 184.6. I started in mid-February around 204 lbs - so I'm down about 20 lbs (just a little less). I still haven't started running again but I have FINALLY put together a schedule I can stick with as well as a training routine I can follow more effectively. I still wake up around 4AM and get to the gym at 5 (the Bally's gym I go to was recently sold to LA Fitness - it seems like they're getting ready to put some money into it; also, it appears that they've lost some members from this particular gym since some of the usual early morning people who workout that early no longer come) and get my day started around 6:30AM.
One thing that I really credit with my weight loss is not just my running or the swimming but walking at least 3.5 miles per day with the dog (and anywhere from 4.5 to 7 miles on Saturday). Overall, per week I walk about 25 to 28 miles. That has definitely helped - but also switching to a vegetarian diet (and working towards a vegan diet) has helped immensely as well.
