Happy Mothers Day!

Sunday, May 13, 2012

I love being a mom. I love watching my kids change everyday. I love sitting on the couch listening to my husband empty the dishwasher in the kitchen and my 2 year old standing at the baby gate watching Daddy's every move. These are the parts of parenthood that I love. The random special moments.

Both my boys have such distinct personalities, JJ is my bull in a china shop, my shoot first-ask questions later kid. Elliott is my tender heart, my easily wounded, easily upset child. I hate to admit this but Elliott is more like me, JJ is more like his daddy.

Today I remember my mom. I was blessed to be a part of her life and have her in my life as well. She taught me so much about life, God and how to live a life worth living. I must admit I cannot remember her voice anymore. I remember her face, her hands, I remember her but I can no longer hear her voice. I miss her.

I have other wonderful moms. I have been blessed by God in that way. He has brought women from every walk of life into my life to help me find my way.

So Happy Mothers Day. If you are a momma, I hope you have a wonderful day and get some pampering from your family. If you are a momma to be, enjoy!!! :) To mommies of the heart, May God heal your hurts today and I pray that he will fill your heart and your arms.

To Lorna, I love you, Happy Mothers Day! Wish I could be there with the boys to celebrate you.

To my mom. I miss you. I wish you knew your grandkids and I wish I could call you today, and hear your voice. I love you.
