Totally random updates

I have so much to say and so little patience to write a long, well-written blog. Prepare yourself to hear very random things that you may or may not care about. lol! ;)

ROCKFEST is tomorrow!! That's what my ticker has been counting down to. What is it you ask? Only the biggest rock concert in the country!!! 12 bands for just $35, can't beat that! All day show and it's going to be totally EPIC! I can't wait!!!!!!

Class is almost over and I scored a 50/50 on my final lab project. BAM, THAT'S what I'M talkin' about!!

I've learned that Dental hygiene school is really hard to get accepted into and I pretty much shot myself in the foot w/ my low GPA from my first college experience. Way too much partying and not enough studying. Now that I'm serious about it, the past is coming up to haunt me. *sad face*

Sooo, if I want to go this route I guess I need to start from the bottom up as a dental assistant. I found a 10 week course that was reasonably priced and is close to home. That starts in September. If I pass that, I'll be able to get hired right away (HOPEFULLY) as an assistant. I'll take some more science classes and try to raise my GPA in the meantime, and eventually will work my way up to a hygienist. Getting that assistant certificate will increase my chances of acceptance. Finally, I have hope again! Yay!

My daughter is THRILLED about making the school talent show!!!! I'm SO incredibly proud of her! She's going to clog with another little girl and I'm sure will be a hit! She said when they auditioned that all of the judges gave them standing ovations and that everyone clapped really loud. She is beyond excited about it! Yes, I'm a very proud mommy!

I have the BEST sparkfriends a girl could ask for!!! I ordered three crochet hats for my aunt who is going through chemotherapy and when they arrived, it ended up being just the patterns! DOH! I contacted the only person I knew who crochets, (a very sweet and dear spark friend, Deborah.) I asked if she would make me some with the patterns and I would pay her, and she so generously offered to do it....for free! How blessed am I?!!! Thanks, Deborah! Love ya lots!

One more random thing, I LOST TWO POUNDS THIS WEEK!
