I'm guilty of wanting what I want when I want it, which is usually yesterday. However, losing weight doesn't work that way. I didn't gain weight overnight and I won't lose it overnight either. Intellectually, I know shows like Biggest Loser, where the contestants lose 10 lbs a week and get eliminated for 'only' losing 1-2 lbs are unrealistic, yet, I sometimes wish I was losing weight faster, like at 10 lbs a clip. But I know that the slow and steady approach is more realistic, healthier, and increases the possibility that I will keep the weight off.
