Day 59 Finally Making REAL Goals!

I have been working on adding and removing habits in a trend towards better health. Now I finally feel that I can actually set my Fast Break Goals. Here is what I am going to do daily:

5/10/2012 Fast Break Goals:
Exercise 10 minutes
Give a self-pep talk - EFT 5 minutes
Drink 8 glasses of water

You might think those are small goals. But it took me almost 2 months to get to this point and I call it PROGRESS!

Next month I will weigh in. Until then I'm just going to keep doing the little things every day that will lead to BIG changes and I will create my new streak!!

Later that day.... Streak: 1 - 5/10/12 today I thought that I missed the nutritional goal because I didn't know that black beans were so high in calories. I guessed I had 2 cups with dinner. But I got the bag and checked the nutritional facts, then measured what I ate. I cooked 1 cup of dried beans. which made 4C of cooked beans. I ate 3/4 C cooked beans. 1/4C (as packaged) = 70 calories so I may have only had 2/3 C dried beans. I drank enough water and I exercised. I'm calling this day a victory.

Tomorrow I am travelling 9 hours so it should be interesting to see what happens to this streak with a trip.

So lesson learned: Put my food in the tracker BEFORE I eat so I can made needed adjustments.
