Day #80 of Cardio Streak Has Passed!

Yesterday was day 80 of my 20 minutes or more cardio streak! I do at least 20 minutes of cardio on my recumbant bike, at varying speeds, each day. I also throw in a few other types of cardio workouts throughout the week to add a little variety. I have definately noticed physical changes since starting. My weight has stopped jumping around, and I am loosing at a relatively consistant rate, which I know has to be healthier for me than having my weight jumping around. I have much more physical endurance and stamina! It feels so good to be able to run up the stairs to get something from the main floor of the house, or to be able to jog across the parking lot to dodge traffic to get to a store.

When I first started this streak, a few days after the start of the new year, I never imagined it lasting much more than a week or two at most! Now I look behind me and see how a healthy habit has been built! I never thought that the streak would have lasted this long, but it has. I take it one day at a time. When this streak eventually ends, as all things do at some point, I will have the ability to look back and be proud of myself and to know what I can physically accomplish. Of course, I will then pick myself back up, after the letdown of the end of the streak, and start a new one all over again. I do not know how long this streak will go, only the Lord knows.
