You can walk outside!!

Tuesday, May 08, 2012

Went to the indoor track at lunch only to find it was full of high school kids....but the girl there recognized me from my daily walks with a co-worker and wouldn't let me turn around and head out.....she said "The outside track is open and you girls can walk out there!!" was super close cause I had just pushed through the turnstile and had swiped my card and I thought....maybe we can.....

Turns out my cohort has too many allergies right now and 87% humidity was not on her plan for today....but I had already changed and had decided to head out

Rather than our walk since I was alone I decided to get going on the C25K....I'm on day 3 of week 5 and it was the 20 min run....I did have to walk a little bit 2 times but ran most of it...even in the humidity and felt great to have gotten it out of the way....

Tonight at home I'm giggling to myself that the girl at the track had to convince me of something so CAN walk outside!!! and run....the inside track is fun too but all the University athletes were outside today too so I still got to see them training and sprinting which is always great to watch!!

YEAAAAAAAH SUMMERTIME! As long as you don't get 4 inches of snow on May 5, like you do in Cowscary.

Good job on the run! emoticon

im pretty thankful that we have two free walking tracks nearby, one isnt in the best shape, but the guys from the city keep it clean and the weeds cut, its well lite at night and i do enjoy walking alone....we also have a park nearby with lots of hiking/walking/bike paths and a graveled walking road next to the river....we have no gyms
zero ziltch nada, i dont even know where one is located within a 50 to 100 mile area, there is a curves, but i never go there, i really do prefer my own time, walking seems to be not only my exercise time, but also my daily affirmation time.
the heat, humidity, wind, bugs and rain seem to be our biggest hurdles, good luck. emoticon
