Romans 5:3-4 And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope.

Losing weight and training ourselves to live healthy is not an easy thing. We have to remind ourselves over and over what is best for us. Sometimes things just sneak up on us. We feel powerless to overcome them. It might be exercising regular. That is a very hard thing for some. Especially if you have a painful condition that restricts you. There might be a eating habit that you just can't seen to fight. Maybe motivation is your problem. You might be overwhelmed with daily things. Sometimes it is money that prevents you from stocking your kitchen with healthy foods. Some may not have a good support system at home. I am sure I have missed some problems some of you fight with everyday. These things are called tribulations. Tribulations come in many forms. Tribulations can make some of us feel helpless, hopeless, and discouraged. Even fear is there sometimes because of troubles. It is hard sometimes to lift our head and hearts up when we, feel overwhelmed with problems. But listen! I know this for a fact. It is true. I have experienced it. Start praising the LORD in your trouble. Have faith in HIM to help you. Be obedient to the LORD. Believe that these things will pass. Because they will. God says to glory in tribulations. Now HE is not saying to go around with a long face and ashes on our heads. No, no! He means to count it all joy when the devil flings those fiery darts at you and he will throw them everyday of your life. You say, "Well where is the joy in that?" GOD says, our troubles produces perseverance (definition from the Webster's New World Dictionary) persevere: to continue a course of action in spite of difficulty. Praise the LORD! We learn that going through trouble will help us to be able to continue our course of action despite the troubles we have. Isn't that wonderful? That means you learn to keep going and you don't give up. Remember this when you are feeling down. GOD is with you and you are not going through problems by yourself. The second thing we develop as we are going through troubles is that it produces character in us. What is character? Moral strength. Concerning you weight-loss and daily goals, this means you learn to eat what is healthy for you, you learn to exercise for a healthier body, you learn to treat your body with kindness and respect. It becomes a part of you life. You have the strength to do what you know is the right . After all those of us that are saved by the grace of GOD are temples of the HOLY SPIRIT. We must learn to care for this temple. The third thing having troubles leads to is hope. Hope is defined like this: a feeling that what is wanted will happen. Do you want to get healthy and lose that weight. I know I do. I know daily there will be problems. Some will be bigger than others. I am praising the LORD, because I know HE is my hope above all hopes. HE will be right there with me, as I thrive to meet my goals everyday. I know I will lose this weight and my health will improve everyday. Thank you LORD for my troubles. I know they will bring great things. They already have! I love you LORD! I praise you! In JESUS name. Amen! Thank the LORD for helping you to gain perseverance, character, and hope through your tribulations. HE makes us better through JESUS CHRIST our LORD. Don't give up now. You can do this!
