It amazes me how many times this is put out there and people just dismiss it.
I believe almost anyone can QUICKLY lower their cholesterol by getting off of wheat, sugars, HFCS and low fat diets! And add supplements like clove, cinnamon, coQ10, magnesium, niacin, fish oil, and D3.

Throw away margarine and vegetable oil! Add Butter, coconut oil and olive oil.

    I bookmarked the article to study it better later. I knew as you age your cholesterol will be higher naturally. Mine was 212. The doctor acted as tho it was getting "up there". Thank God I read uh? Thank you. This looks like one of the better explained articles to me.

    I got lost in the link and forgot to come back and post. emoticon

    I been on no-wheat since February and weaned myself on Statins in April. I was getting severe muscle pain and didn't know why until I started reading about statins. Yikes -- now no pain at all!!! I get my blood test in Sept so I can't wait to see the changes.

    I lost most of the 40ish lbs on low carb without realizing I was eating low carb -- just cutting out all the junk, which included bunches of carbs, helped too!!! I haven't lost weight since going no-wheat so I need to investigate why. Exercise, too many calories. I don't know, but I feel better so that's all that matters!

    Amen sister! I hear you! However, please tell me what HFCS stands for? My diet is low carb...no simple carbs, relatively sugar free, I use good Omega 3 fats....butter, olive and coconut oil....use all the other things you mentioned except cinnamon (allergic) and CoQ10 because I've never really figured out what it was for and there is so much confusion over supplements these days....any suggestions?

    P.S. Have lost 43 lbs. since Jan 1 and feel SO much better.....cholestrol has actually dropped and so has my RHR and my BP! WooHoo! OH! I think I just got the HFCS....high fructose corn syrup, right?

    Moomchild...Interesting comment.

    Egalitaire...Yeah you shouldn't heat olive oil. I only do it in a pinch and feel that it is better than vegetable oil. I pick my battles but you are right.

    I agree with the article. There is consensus among many "natural" health people that cholesterol below 200 is not healthy, and it's making more sense to me all the time. I actually wish mine were higher!
