I joined a gym last night! The weather is heating up and I want to be sure I never have an excuse not to exercise. A nice cold gym is the perfect solution and I can afford $15 a month. The guy who signed me up made me feel surprised/shocked and so good when he said I looked like I kept myself in good shape and when he was surprised when I told him my age. I really expected more of a "we have facilities for all fitness levels and ages" approach if you know what I mean. Of course I told him about sparkspeople and he knew exactly what I was talking about. He says he's recommended it to some of his clients. He loves the tracking tools.

I tried on 'little' jeans this morning and found the cargo pants my daughter gave me fit. They're supposed to be quite loose and I have a few lbs to go before they will look right but I couldn't button them when she gave them to me and they're no longer even tight. A pair of jeans I gave to my daughter last year, because I knew I'd never fit into them again. go on and button now. Out of the jeans she gave me, the first pair of jeans I could just barely squish into are fitting nicely now and are even a little loose. I now fit into more of the jeans than I don't fit into. I haven't had this many pairs of jeans to choose from in years!

I can't believe how much of a difference being dedicated to my Sparks program has made. I'm not even the same woman I was at the first of January. I'm being completely honest when I say "if I can do this, anyone can". I am a believer of being a 'lazy' fitness person. I don't push myself too much. I simply make sure I do the best I can and don't beat myself up when I make mistakes along the way. I now KNOW I will meet my weight goal and I can be healthy.

It's time to put on my sweats and get out for my walk today because I have places to go and things to see in my fitness future. Yes my friends, I have my spark back :)

    well no gym around here but i cant afford 15 even a mth paying off bills right now.

    All i have left goes into my savings for my precious. I tho dug up lilies today and day

    lilies and replanted them. Made nice row down my sidewalk. Washed a lot and

    moved my furniture again i do this a LOT.

    So, i get my exercise. I do not think i like a gym as i do not like structured

    Like my gi food plan is working for me some it would not suit them.

    I get on my scale see it move i smile and lately a smile is hard to come by here due to


    I am down 10 lbs and scale is still sliding.

    I know now i was eating like a piggie .

    Two slices of ww toast so i lay the butter and jam on it.

    Cokes , tea loaded with sugar, ice cream i say not much and i eat a lot.

    NO more low gi is my new life plan. I look forward to my "BIG SALAD"

    like Elaine got on the tv show.

    As for your daughters jeans hay way to go

    NOW go buy you some of your own too as you deserve them. emoticon

    That is awesome! I too just went down a pant size, the feeling is wonderful! Enjoy your new gym and make sure that you GO! :)
