This upcoming weeks goals and randomness

It is Sunday. Which is kinda like Friday in my world. I am really looking forward to some training that I have this morning. 90 minutes of learning a little something, listening to somebody that is hilarious and get a little free good product in the mean time. Count me in! Down side I do have to miss visiting some more with the inlaws who decided to come stay for the night.

I can definitely tell waking up this morning that I have pushed my body a bit this week. While that is good in most ways, ie. the tell tale sign of good muscle soreness in the hamstrings and triceps. The knee is a little sore (but not painful so I am ok with that) and my traps or crazy jacked. I tend to carry a lot there and if I sleep wrong forget it. I even went out and bought a fancy new pillow. Which I absolutely love but have found that it isn't quite as helpful if you aren't actually laying on it properly.

Reflecting on last week as a whole I feel stronger, my clothes fit a little better and only had one really crazy calorie high meal. So I am happy.

So the goal this week is to get specific. I have good general ideas about where I want to go and what I want my healthy lifestyle to look like and somethings work and somethings don't. So I am going to get specific and consistent with one new habit a week until I feel that my lifestyle reflects the happy healthy individual I want to be.

This weeks habit is just writing down everything I eat. I have been sporadic about logging my food into spark and after a little unbiased self assessment I need to spend my energy more focused on what I am putting into my body rather than the amount of calories I am putting into my body at this point in my journey. My reasons:
1) I have a crazy sweet tooth and eat too much junk
2) Between my job and exercising - calories out is not an issue
3) I believe that for me shifting the focus to what I am eating rather than the amount of calories will lead to better longer lasting results and
4) I know it will lead to better habits in the future

I am a detail oriented person and can get lost in the small things sometimes. So I just need to make those small things I am focusing on the right things.

    Those are good goals: realistic but impactful. Glad to hear you are feeling good about putting everything in line.
