I guess its "balloon season" here in Central Florida. I guess they have certain times of the year when its good ballooning?
I have been woken up a couple times this week to a strange "whooshing" noise, like when you first turn on a gas grill, only louder , and every few seconds, then the dogs start barking. There is a field a mile over where they land and thy drop down pretty low, the neighborhood dogs freak out.
There were 3 of them.
The first time it happened it really freaked me out too LOL.
Finally got the pool cleaned and ready to use, just in time, hitting 90's today!
Been doing great with food & walking. As soon as I get a real scale I will check my weight, although its not a big deal, my clothes are still going down in size. A shirt and capri set I brought for walking, that was wayyyy to tight last time I tried it on, fits perfectly now! I am totally amazed at how it looks compared to the first time I tried it on. I'm losing, don't care if the scale shows it or not.
I tried on last years bathing set, major difference. I have ti look through pictures to see of I can find some from last year.
So yesterday was our 25th year wedding anniversary. Hard to believe its been a quarter of a century, when I was younger I always pictured people married that long to be grey haired, in the rocking chair old. Well here I am, not any of that, but I am a bit bummed that I'm going to be 45 on the 10th. My God, I'll be 5 years from being 50!! I wish my brain would mature along with my body somewhat. I still feel like a clueless 20 year old a lot of the time.
So what did I get for the amazing accomplishment of surviving 25 years of marriage? TOM, that's what! My husband is working in Clearwater (about 100 miles away), we can't even see each other and I get TOM. Oh well, life is fun that way. We are not cards & presents people, never have been. We will do something together, buy something, we wing it mostly. We are good to each other all year round, don't need one day a year to celebrate that.
Its a good thing we both feel that way or we would not have made it this far LOL
Actually the secret to a long marriage is separate blankets on the bed. Yes, that's it. We both have our own set of top sheets and blankets. It started when I had the strokes. We discovered how much nicer a sleep it was without ripping blankets off the other person in the middle of the night. I would actually feel like he really didn't love me if he didn't care I was freezing because he had all the blankets. He was sleeping so he didn't know he was doing it duh!
So a King size bed, separate blankets= good marriage!
