So Much To Tell...

Thursday, May 03, 2012

To be honest I have so many things that I would like to share with my spark friends that I honestly don't even know where to begin emoticon emoticon emoticon
So I left off with the fact that I was in Norton, Va, doing training for the computer conversion in Big Stone Gap (at Lonesome Pine Hospital). Training went great and the assignment (although very short) was one of the best assignments I have ever been on! For the first time in my career I felt like I was stealing from them! What I mean by this is, I was working 4 12hour shifts, and they were so easy, I felt I didn't deserve to get a paycheck! I loved all the staff I worked with, they were all emoticon emoticon
I left VA Friday, April 13th and headed to Georgia to visit family for 6 days. It was a wonderful trip. My Aunt looks AMAZING!!! She has had a huge transformation with her weight-loss, and after not seeing her for a year, I couldn't believe how great she had done!! After the short stint there I headed to Charlotte, NC to start training for the EPIC conversion! We were supposed to stay in Charlotte, but after being there only 4 days we were told (my new friend Carrie and I) that we would have to move to Winston-Salem for our assignment! So the car got loaded up once again. We spent all afternoon wasting time because our company didn't get us a hotel room until late afternoon! We got word of where we would be staying at 5pm (I was not happy emoticon). Then once getting to the hotel/extended stay we learn that we have been put in a horrible area and Lord knows who was staying at the hotel. I have no doubt there were drug dealers and prostitutes at this establishment, but we were only put there for 3 days, so we made the best with what we had! After 3 days we moved to the nicer Extended Stay in a nice area, and that might be where the story ends, but as luck with have it, I get put in a room right next to one of the most obnoxious, and blatantly RUDE person I have ever been stuck rooming next to! He is awake at all hours of the night, he plays his music at what ever volume he feels is necessary for him to hear (and his is obviously deaf, so this means it is loud all the time). If the music is not on, he has his TV on excessively loud! And then to top it off, after another LONG day at work, and working out, then out to dinner with a friend I come home to hear his alarm clock going off, BEEP BEEP BEEP emoticon This continued to go off throughout the night, waking me up multiple times, and not only was his alarm clock going off, but he also had gone out and left the TV on, on it usual volume setting!!! emoticon
So now because he is RUDE, I will have to move yet again! It will be my 7th move since March27th! I just want to have a nice room, with nice neighbors, is that too much to ask emoticon emoticon emoticon
Other then all of these mishaps, I have been liking my new travel assignment. I am again placed in a office with lots of nice girls! I am learning the computer work, and excited for the transition to go into another clinic going live May 16th, I also have the opportunity to extend the contract which would be GREAT!!! Now I just need to make more friends! emoticon
emoticon now it sounds like my neighbor has a guest! Probably some crack whore he picked up off the street!!! One more night, that is all just one more night!!! emoticon

Argh! I totally sympathize with you on the neighbor thing. Maybe you should have taken up bouncing a baseball off of the wall as a part of your morning routine! Hope you're all moved out now and enjoying your next place.
How are your workouts going? Have you found some things that have networked you and created new friendships?
Hope all is well! Take care, keep active, and make healthy choices!

Two words will help you: ear plugs

Put your cell phone on vibrate with loudest ringer and in your bed with you. You'll still hear it when its time to get up.

Oh goodness! First off, it takes a special kind of person to be as flexible as you are. I'm so glad that you do like most of your job (except for the hotel nonsense), since you have clearly found your calling?
Second and most importantly, you would never need to try to make new friends. I'm betting people flock to you since you a happy person magnet!

Enjoy the assignment, and get yourself a sound machine. A LOUD one.

    WOW. Honey you've been busy!!!!

I hope you were able to survive your last night next to Mr. Rudeness, and I hope you will be getting a better room. It's always best to have respect for your fellow human beings. Maybe one day he will figure it out.

On the up side, I'm glad you are enjoying your travel assignments, and keeping up with working out! Go you!!!

We were neighbors for a minute! I hope Charlotte was good to you, including the wether. The weather has been so crazy with it been fabulous one day and stinking hot the next. I'm glad you're liking your travel assignment and that you're doing good!
