Most curious

Thursday, May 03, 2012

So I have this wicked sweet tooth issue and I'm not to the point where I can usually do sweets in moderation, so I just tend to avoid them and not even bring them into the house. My dad also has this sweet tooth and my parents watch our kids during the day so he keeps a little stash of M&M's in the cupboard - but hidden from the kids.

He texted me the other day that a "candy cupboard security breach was imminent" and he was moving the M&M's. He moved them into our bathroom in a drawer that I use no less than 3 or 4 times a day. And miraculously I have not touched the M&M's. I find this so curious.

If I know there is anything yummy like that in the house, I am all over it! But for some reason I am leaving the M&M's alone. It's not because they are "his" - I've polished off other stuff they have left behind. I'm hoping that by writing about the aforementioned candy coated goodies that I won't now become obsessed with them and eat the whole bag tonight. I just thought it was strange.

I do know that if I open the bag and "just eat a few", my husband will find me in a heap on the bathroom floor with chocolate all over! Maybe this is some strange challenge to myself. I will beat the M&M's ~ they are powerless over me. emoticon
