First thanks for all the wonderful support everyone. Our mishaps on our trip down will make this a memorable trip!
Today we slept in-much needed. I felt bad because Vicky got up early and walked to the beach and back and scouted things out for us. I could have gotten in a couple of miles with her but the sleep was also important after our day yesterday.
We got around and by 9:30 was out front of the campground with our beach chairs, coolers and off to the beach. They have a trolley that runs every 45 min and for $1.50 you can get off and on all day long which is a lot better than one of us unhooking our rv and then having to pay $6 to park over on the island. Vicky & I did about 90 min of beach walking while the guys relaxed and watched everyone who was walking. We spent about 3 hours at the beach and headed on back to the campground about 12:30.
We cleaned up and grabbed a lite lunch and then out to catch the trolley again. We rode it the whole route and that took about 90 min. It was a nice ride and we got to pretty much see the whole of the island where Fort Meyers Beach is located.
When we got back, the guys fiddled with our mh-another problem has cropped up. We are getting water in our shower drain pan and it should not be there unless we are taking a shower and we are using the camp showers so......! Now we have something else to check out. We got the water pumped out but it keeps trickling in-I am thinking the new toilet they installed has a bad seal and it is leaking and dripping into the pan but it could be a bad seal too so have to find out which it actually is but nothing we can't deal with for now.
Vicky & I went to the pool and did about an hour workout in there and then got into the hot tub for 15 min. It started to rain while we were in the hot tub but it was warm so we didn't get out. It was shower time when we got back to the rv's. Then it was time to work on dinner.
We had both brought burgers so they fired up their grill and we cooked them on it and Vicky had brought corn on the cob which she cooked on their coleman stove. I sliced up a couple of tomatoes and got out the potato salad I had made before we left home. For dessert we had fresh strawberries with a spritz of fat free whipped cream. Doesn't get much better.
Now it is time to turn in for another fun filled day tomorrow.
See-we aren't letting a little misfortune ruin this trip.
My motto: "If it isn't life or death, it really isn't important!"
