Namaste, Despite Things Going Wrong

Wednesday, May 02, 2012

I have absolutely adored the SparkPeople iPhone app. It works faster than than the big website for PCs. I have my phone on me all the time and can upload anything I eat any time. Then today it stopped working for me and I wonder if it will ever work again! I went to the App Store and there are complaints galore about it, most if not all dated today. It seems they have just "updated" the app. Thanks for nothing.

Did you know that SparkPeople doesn't have a "Contact Us" feature in the Help tab area? Me neither. but it annoys me. I posted a complaint in the comment stream appended to an article on SP apps. I may have to do what others have done and jump ship and use something else. Don't want to, though.

BTW, my leg fracture is coming along. The last MD I saw said I don't have osteoporosis after all, but bone loss as a side effect from long term steroid use for asthma. I see that doc again tomorrow for an update with new x-rays and an MRI. We will see how I'm doing. Progress in healing, I hope!

Thanks to my SP friends for your support and encouragement all along this journey toward health and fitness. The hardest thing right now is not being able to exercise. Despite cutting back the calories I'm still creeping up. Even walking more than absolutely necessary has been forbidden. Even standing must be limited.

The good news is I am meditating and drawing and writing more. I've had two articles published in recent weeks in the elephant journal online mag. Here are links, and I really hope you'll read them and even add your comments:

Contemplating the Aging Process

Our Friends the Crows

Life is good. It really is. One day at a time.

Hi Sunny, I read both of your articles previously and loved them both. I'm so happy that there is progress in your leg fracture, I hope that continues.
Know that I think of you and wish you the best always.
