Stupid thing to do.

Tuesday, May 01, 2012

At the moment I live on 1200 cal - plus minus 100 ... I'm fine with that - it was exactly the same amount I ve eaten before I had the surgery.

Today I went on the scale. Or better: I tried to do my best to get on the scale.
Imagine a overweight woman on walking aids. On a scale.
Because at the moment it simply doesn't matter.
What matters is, that I have no pain and I have to sit and prop up my leg.

Our scale is a bit of a diva.
It depends where you stand on her to get a result. And that result can balance between 2 kilos more or less.
So its a stupid thing to do.

I think I did not lose any weight in the last week.
And I could punch myself that I'm a bit disappointed.
Because ... yes, its STUPID.

Meddypeddy: yes - but I make sure I'm always in the same position on the scale ... so if I lose weight, I can see it there aswell ;)) So I think Its ok to fool myself a bit ;)

I think it is sort of funny - because I recognize the scale diva thing. My scale can be persuades to show a little less if I balance in a certain way - and I do it! And feel better because it is a little less... so stupid but also so funny. What we do to cheer ourselves up!

It is the same phenomenon that makes weight watchers take off their shoes when they weigh in - an clever me kept my on because I knew that I then had a "reserve" the week I knew that I had not done too well... stupid!

Seriously just rest and recover no sense and stressing over something you cant control right now. I know you know all of this already. Just enjoy the decent weather (I don't know about yours but ours has been pretty nice all weekend.) You'll be back to the grind before you know it!
