Loving Spark People

I am really loving Spark People. It's helping me plan my calorie intake and stick to an exercise regimen. I used to hate to sweat, but since starting to walk and exercise regularly, I realize I only hate sweating when I'm sitting still. When exercising, sweating is satisfying and wonderful!

Also, even though I am watching my calories, I'm not denying myself anything. I just work it into my calorie count. Last night I had dinner at my dad's and had a small but delicious piece of coconut cake. It was so delicious! But I had eaten so well at lunch and dinner that I knew I could work it in, and boy was it worth it!

Since starting to lost weight in October, I've gone from nearly 280 lbs down to 251. Since January when I bought a new belt I've gone down 4.5 inches around my waist and I'm down from a size 22 to an 18. If I can keep going, that means by October I'll be in a size 14 jeans. This amazes me! I haven't been a size 14 since college.

My current goal is to be a size 12, but if I'm feeling good and things are working out, that could go lower.

I don't know what hit me this year: maybe it's that I've turned 30. All I know is that I've got two goals to meet before my 32nd birthday: fit into a size 14 and finish the first draft of my novel.

    Good luck hun! I'm about to try to write a novel as well! And I'm hopefully getting back down to the size I was when I was a sophomore in college! emoticon
