Day 3

Monday, April 30, 2012

Sunday was a pretty lazy day at first. Then I decided to sweep the house instead of using the vacuum. In the afternoon I took a two mile walk with the kids while they rode bikes. It was beautiful outside and I felt really good getting out and exercising a little. Its also nice getting the kids involved. I thought I had went over in my calorie count with snacking last night because around 10:30 the Doritos were calling my name and I had to have a bag. Not to mention the two fig newtons those things say fat free but they have 70 calories for each one. In all I think I did pretty good staying in calorie range and drinking my water. It gets easier each day but I'm sure after a while a slip up is sure to occur. Bear with me and thanks for your support.

Yep ... you are moving in the right direction! As you start to purge your home of things that will tempt you, you'll find it easier to not yield to the siren call of things that inspire thoughtless eating. And you'll start to figure out how to add a serving of the things you REALLY really WANT to what you plan to eat for the day instead of being tempted and then feeling like you "slipped up". The phases will come and go as your body (and taste buds) learn to love more natural, fresh food and pretty soon those Doritos and Fig Newtons will taste a little stale, a little unsatisfying as you find that maybe an apple, an orange or a little peanut butter would be better! It's hard to imagine at first but it's been true for me! Keep up the great work ... Nice job on your walk yesterday! Even better getting the kids involved! Woohoo!
