Followup from the Dr...

Saturday, April 28, 2012

Went to my followup appointment with the Doctor this past Wednesday and had a weigh in....... lost 11 pounds!! And that was with 1 day of exercise if you count mowing the grass haha!

I go back in 2 weeks for just a weigh in and then 4 weeks for a follow up appointment. New goal from the doctor is 10-12 pounds in 4 weeks. I can do that!

Things are getting so much easier with this lifestyle change :). I remember a few times within the last 2 weeks that I just wanted to give up and quit and not go back to the doctor, but with the help of my husband and friends I stuck with it and went back and had awesome results!

Now I just have to get into the exercise routine. I really wish my dog was a good walker, I live in a great walking neighborhood, but he likes to chase after cars, and bark at people and other dogs. It's nearly impossible to walk him because he gets worked up and there is no stopping him. But, I'm going to at least try to walk myself. I've downloaded an app for my phone that tracks where you walk and the distance. I'll have to try that out and see how that does. Then hopefully next week I can start going to the gym again. *fingers crossed*. I'm trying to keep up with my school work so I can stay ahead and have time to go to the gym.

I've also given up on trying to weigh myself at home -- or at least tried to :). Since I have to go every 2 weeks for either a weigh in or an appt, I'm trying to at least wait until then to be weighed.

Will check back in with my progress :)

Take the dog his regular walkies and make your own walking route.. Perhaps a mp3 player and your favourite music? Are there other exercise forms you like?
