Great News at My Monthly Assessment

Friday, April 27, 2012

Pounds are coming off s-l-o-w-l-y and that can be discouraging and frustrating. But, as I always tell TC, nobody sees the number on the scale, they only see my body.

So we had our monthly assessment this morning. I only lost 3 pounds BUT I lost an inch off my chest, 3/4 inch of my waist, 1.5 inches off my belly, and a full inch off my hips!!!

TC doesn't measure inches, he decided to go with body fat. He's down from a beginning body fat of 30 to 23.6% today. He's looking GREAT.

This is great motivation not to backslide during our vacation. We are leaving Sunday morning and I have a zillion things to do. We will be gone a month. I've joined Coach Nicole's challenge to motivate me to do strength training while we're gone. As much as I complain, I'm going to miss the Spandex Nazis at the Fitness Center that keep me going.

I'll be taking my Verizon MiFi so I'll be able to Spark from the travel trailer; our first stop is Nashville for a few days and then onto Indianapolis for the half marathon.

So I better get started on things, but I wanted to tell you how excited I am about the change in my measurements! It's really happening!!!!!!!

Have a great weekend, everyone.

The numbers on the scales only shows a smal part of what is going on. You are doing great.

  • NANCY-
    ROOSTER72 said it well.
Slowly is the way to go... that's what makes it permanent... and you do want permanent don't you?
You are fit, firm and heading in the right direction.

Exactly! No one sees the number on the scale except you.
Everyone else sees your clothes getting looser, your bumps smoothing, your wobbles firming, your skin glowing, your smile beaming, your eyes sparkling etc etc.
I know we like to see the scale going down - but the other factors are pretty cool too! Healthy living pays off.

The measurements, how clothes fit, and how you feel are what matters the most; how often does anyone see the number on the scale, anyways? Great job, have a safe and fun trip!

Don't you now wish you had pictures from those before years? You shouldn't have ducked out of all those photo ops! Just think of the great before and after comparisons.

Enjoy Nashville. So I know country music is not your to choice. Are you climbing some hills in Tennessee?
