Remembering Everything

In my system of change for my my body, I have forgotten one of the most important things that I have to do....Check my blood sugar. When I got up about 45 minutes ago, I was nauseous and lightheaded. I didn't think nothing of it because I have been feeling like that every morning.

Well, I got dressed (this is my daily pledge to myself to keep myself out of bed) and just had to lay down on the couch. I don't like shoes on the furniture so that didn't last long.For the few minutes I was on the couch I remembered that I bought refill test strips for my machine. So, I got up and found my machine and tested my sugar. It is 93, which is good but consider this, I have not eaten since 9 pm last night. Nothing but water to drink.

Now, 93 is a good fasting number but it also has been over 12 hours and before I have eaten. My body is used to my sugar being lower than that because it drops when I eat. Yes weird but the doctors just said I need more protein because there isn't anything wrong. I discovered back in 2009 a pattern, took the results to my doctor, he did a blood test then sent me to a specialist who stated the above about more protein as well as complex carbs.

From the referral to the specialist I remember something about my c-peptide but can not remember what it said. I do remember looking up the medications I am on and the symptoms of something and two of the medications I am on hides this other thing.

Basically, what is comes down to is I am going to have to set me up a reminder for every morning after I get up and every night before bed to check my blood sugar. Just one of those things that I know I have to do but just forgot about it. emoticon

Just had to get that down so that when I read my own blogs it will stick better. emoticon

    SP has a planner where you can set up appointments. You can have it email you reminders. That might help. You could also put your monitor/tester by your toothbrush. If you walk by your kitchen table in the morning and before bed you could also set it there so it's easily seen. There's always using a sticky note on your bedroom/bathroom mirror so when you look at yourself in the morning you see it.
