I have a buddy - Tom - who wants to be healthy and at a weight he can live with. We decided this week to work together. He is about 800 or so miles away from me. So it's all by text, phone and emails that we have always supported each other. Now we will do that with our health, too. We met face-to-face about 14 years ago at manager's training then haven't seen each other since. Can you believe it?
So we set some very small goals. We have to walk for 15 minutes a day and he has to start eating breakfast earlier in his day. As it is now he doesn't eat much of anything until nearly noon. Then he doesn't want lunch until 4 and dinner after 9 pm. That's been a habit for a very long time. I steered him here and hope he will check it out. The article and tools are so helpful!
As for me, I have cut the amount of carbs and fructose I'm eating. And decided no alcohol for a while. I'm hoping those changes will help me get to my goal faster. OH! And I'm actually remembering to take my vitamins every day. YAY me!!
The little changes will eventually add up.
