Fell off the WAGON TRAIN... but now I am back on

Well, life happens. If you want to make plans, that's when God laughs or something like that. I was really losing weight, and then I found out I was two months pregnant. My doctor told me to stop all exercise when I was 20 weeks because of pelvic issues to the point that I had to be on a narcotic pain medication. Well, my son was born and for the most part he was healthy. Then all weightloss stopped. I lost a significant amount of water and weight after he was born then it slowly came back. Here I am over five -oh number (by a few digits) and I am embarrassed. I never thought I would reach this weight. So I have vowed to change... and this time my life DEPENDS on it.

Step 1:
Eat a healthy breakfast (interestingly enough this is also goal #1)

Step 2:
Exercise at least 10 minutes per day (interestingly enough this is also goal #2)

Step 3:
Read at least 1 success story per day (interestingly enough this is also goal #3)

So here I go. I am starting my weightloss journey, and I think I am going to measure instead of weigh myself. The numbers always depressed instead of motivated me.

    Set one small goal, when you reach that, make another small goal. You can do this one step at a time!!

    Focusing on the things you can control, such as what (and how much) you eat, and how much you move, rather than the scale is a great idea. Measurements rather than the scale - both are worthwhile, but I find measurements are far less frustrating. (We seem to expect the scale to gratify our efforts daily - I know I do!)

    Sticking with baby steps and building your momentum right now is really wise - good for you! Can you come back and visit Spark daily for the rest of your Fast Break two weeks? I think you can! Best of luck with your three goals, and with the start of your healthy life.

    Consistency and dedication - those are the keys to success. Trust me! It's not one giant workout or one disappointingly large meal - so don't let those affect you too much - it's really the accumulation of all those little choices we make throughout the day that end up revealing our results (good or bad). Make good choices! It's always YOUR CHOICE, and your destiny is always in your hands. Make it what you want it to be.
