Since I'm stealing, Crank Up Greek Yogurt ideas from Hungry Girl

Tuesday, April 24, 2012

Ok, I have been stuck in a rut with my Greek yogurt. Not really anything bad, just these suggestions opened my eys to something new & yummy. And who can't refuse yummy?
My friend passed on these Hungry Girl suggestions.

So far I've tried adding Crystal light. Yesterday I bought two new Crystal light flavors. Cherry limeade & one with natural fruit flavors. I didn't know they have ones with caffeine, but I'll stay away from those.

I've been so excited about adding Crystal Light I had forgotten her other recommendations. Like swirling in light or fat-free caramel dip (Marzetti) I plan to check this out after shopping Wed. I am wondering if it will be cheesecake like. The tartness of the yogurt with the carmely goodness of the dip! Yummy.

Her answer reminded me I used to added dried fruit that I chopped into really really small pieces (to stretch each piece of fruit a looong way). Ya know kinda like going to Benihanas.

Enjoy!

    Hi Sharen;

    I have not been able to find a yogurt I like so I eat cottage cheese with fruit or jam. Keep staying healthy and eat well. God bless you always.

    I usually add fruit and sometimes a teaspoon of honey or maple syrup if I want the sweet. I have also made my own in the crockpot...even better tasting, but it takes a while. I use the whey fluid for smoothies.
    Will have to try the crystal light idea...gives a lot of choices going that route.
    Thank you for sharing.

    I've tried to get into yogurt but just can't do it. These are really good tips. I'll be excited to hear how the caramel goes!

    yum. Sounds good. Need to try that. I've tried greek yogurt but nothing like that. How about adding sugar free hot chocolate mix to the yogurt and making it into a pudding. I saw that on the Today Show and it sounds good.
