Catching up

Tuesday, April 24, 2012

This weekend was so packed, I haven't been able to do much on SparkPeople! Saturday was the field trip to Build A Bear. Yep, that was about it, nothing else was accomplished lol.

Sunday was housecleaning and grocery shopping. Monday was work and Girl Scouts, today was work and Alexis's play at school. She was a crocodile :)

Now, to work on the grocery list for the camp-out in ten days. We know the menu, now to make a precise list 'cuz the girls are going shopping Monday! Yes, supervised, and in patrols, but still, eleven girls loose in Wal-Mart, yikes!

i was so active until about middle school. then, i only did things i had to do, like chores, then pretty much sat around reading or on the nintendo. i regret becoming so "lazy", that's my problem. if i would have been pushed a bit more to go outside (even at the beach, instead of riding the waves, i sat and tanned!) i think i would be more active now, and less heavy. c'est la vie, live and learn, and hope your positive life changes have a positive impact on the next generation :) have a great weekend, i know i will (at the beach!!) woo hoo!

You are an AWESOME A+ mommy. You can hear the pride in your comments. I wish I had a been that active as a child, probably wouldn't have picked up all this weight....I was such a priss. Didn't want to get hurt so I didn't do alot of things and was a book worm on top of it. Your kids are lucky to have you encourage them, you are impacting their entire lives more than you know. emoticon emoticon

me time, for sure! that happens after everyone else is in bed, but it does happen :)

i am very proud of her. i'm proud of all of my children, of course, but they each have different reasons :) she loved the water as a toddler, and she was outside at her grandmother's house, waiting to go into the pool. she didn't have her lifevest on yet, and thank god her cousin was outside with her! she jumped in! he was like ten or twelve at the time, and jumped in after her. did i mention he is my favorite nephew ;) she wasn't in the water long enough to aspirate much, and she was fine. she just did not want to go into the water until she was well into second grade. she was at a friend's house (her besty from kindergarten) and decided to "test the waters". now, she swims like a fish!! diving, underwater, above water, the whole nine! can't get her out of the pool at times lol. she even likes riding the waves at the beach :) so proud, i got to get her a board!

Aww...she laerning healthy habits at an early age and helping mama at the same time. What a keeper, you should be mega-ultra proud of her, I am! But truly, you are amazing because your schedule would test a mega athelete for endurance. I want to swim but I have never been very good it, almost drowned as a very young child and took a long time for me to want to see water again. So I will see if I can get that in this summer. But please get some me time in, can't stress that enough. emoticon emoticon

I am exhausted lol! That's why it's hard getting a workout in. Somedays, it's simply yoga or even just a quick stretch before bed. My oldest daughter wants to compete in the First Coast Kids Triathalon next year (this year's is next weekend, and she didn't exactly tell me in enough time to train for this year lol) and she is running every afternoon after school. We are going to swim this summer, hopefully she'll get stronger and build up her endurance. I will have to teach her, she hasn't had formal training in strokes and speed yet. Her bike riding skills are pretty good, she just, again, has to build up endurance. She's really an inspiration to me, she still likes working out :) All three do, but the oldest is really into it. I just wish I had enough time in the evening to go running with her :-/ I can't actually do any working out until like 9 pm because of dinner and then cleaning, sometimes even GS stuff! She's pretty good about helping me with dinner, so it doesn't take me as long for that.
