Doctor's appointments, that is.
The nurse practitioner that I saw yesterday did write for another endoscopy and also for a bone scan to see if the proton pump inhibitors perhaps are the real cause of the shin splints and the possible stress fractures. I've also got pain in between my shoulder blades on my spine that started while doing the resistance bands, which kind of leaves me without options for exercise for awhile, until I find out what is going on. I hope I don't have a lumbar fracture from osteoporosis.
I'm going to go back on a pureed diet because the gastritis is really bad again. I'm going to try a few alternatives, too. I've been hearing that coconut milk helps and also vitamin E and kale and cabbage juice. So I may stop tracking for a few weeks. I'm feeling pretty frustrated.
I'll be checking in and drinking a LOT of water, at least!

    I hope you get some answers. I too would ask what exercises could be recommended and also if you are up to tracking, it would be a great idea. At the very least I hope you are able to check in to let us know how you're doing, through the good and the bad - we're here for you and wish you nothing but the best. Take care.

    So sorry to hear you're have healthy problems. . .thinking positive thoughts and praying for relief and good news from your Doctors and tests. Just take one day at a time and don't stress too much as that never helps.

    I hope the tests and doctor's visit can give you some relief and direction. One thing to put on your list to ask the doctor - what sort of physical activity can he recommend for you? A doctor is hopefully going to have an idea of which motions and stresses your body can handle.

    The other thing - even if you don't expect or plan to be trying to meet calorie ranges or nutrition ranges, tracking may still be a good idea where possible. Why? Because if you start feeling better or worse, you'll have a record of what you had in the days prior - rather than trying to remember it all.

    Sue, I'm so sorry you aren't feeling well. I've had trouble for years with GERD, but sounds like yours is much worse. I just know it felt like a true miracle when I responded well to medication. Who knew! I just thought it was something I had to live with. Like Patty, i know I can't eat in the evening--after dinner I'm done, or I will be having trouble all night.     Hi Sue, The journey to health is a very educational and spiritual one for some of us, so don't quit, because there's a solution for every problem. I found out that a lot of my symptoms were stress induced, which caused me to overload on after-dinner snacking, which led to not enough time for proper digestion before lying down, which led to gastric juices going WILD!! At those times I need to repeat the Serenity Prayer until it sinks in! The following is used by the "12 step groups):
    **The Serenity Prayer
    God grant me the serenity
    To accept the things I cannot change
    The courage to change the things I can
    And the wisdom to know the difference.

    PPIs? Oh dear. Have you read my SP intro page? Is an endoscopy really necessary? Hmmm...

    If you get vit E, do you know your starting level? It's fat soluble so it lingers in the body vs water soluble vitamins. If you buy it, make sure you find MIXED tocopherols. Carlsons might have one (but they also have other types, so read the label). Kale and cabbage juice: good!

    I'm so sorry for your troubles. You're action-oriented and that's a good thing. Keep taking care and you're going to go places baby. :)
