out of the comfort zone

i am a self-help book addict...i picked up my first one, the erroneous zone by dr. wayne dyer, in a bargain bin at a local bookstore, walking home from work one day. i thought it was about sex, but it changed my life and my thinking....i read a couple more of his books but didn't really understand them at the time, i was too busy with my life.

once the kids got older and i changed my hours, i was home more in the afternoon and started watching oprah. it was when she was doing her spirit year and i got introduced to cheryl richardson, sarah ban breathnach, gary (someone), it was also at this time i discovered yoga. the class i fell in love with was on the oxygen channel with steve ross, inhale. the first few times i did the class, i hurt in muscles i didn't know i had. so i was on and off for a few more years, read organization books, declutter books, love you life books, gratitude books....it wasn't until i read ekhart tolle's book a new earth, that i got it....i had to read it three times but i got it....

then i started reading dr. dyer's books again, deepka chopra, started studying more about yoga and meditation....so it all makes more sense to me, but it still doesn't come easy....right now i am working on a book by julie cameron, the artist's way, the pure heart of yoga, by robert butera, living the wisdom of the tao, by dr. dyerand i just started women's bodies, womens wisdom by dr, christina northrup. iwill do another blog on that book, i just started it and it has hit on some great thoughts so far, with mind and spirit and the medical system.

have a great evening

It's wonderful how they all kind of fit together and say the same thing after a while. So many paths, but only one goal! What a wonderful path you are on!

I really enjoyed your blog. I have not tackled Eckart Tolle yet, but I am a big fan of the other authors, and especially Dr. Wayne Dyer. Some people tend to dismiss self help books because there are so many of them. But I find them to be a great tool if you don't think of them as being like a magic pill. In combination with the SP program they
have helped me gain a lot of insight into myself. Thanks for sharing.
