Tracking Weight

Sunday, April 22, 2012

I have tracked my weight since 2009 when I lost 46 pounds. I keep the charts I use to graph my weight daily in a three-ring binder. It is nice being able to look back on my progress, or lack of progress. Now I am 20 pounds heavier than I was two years ago. It is amazing how it crept on slowly 10 pounds each year. Graphing my weight daily gives me motivation in the short term, I can see what is happening. The charts provide such a history for me in the long term. I can see how various events, such as vacation or an injury have an effect on my progress. The monthly weigh and measure charts from Curves I also keep in the binder. This gives me not only weight, but inches and BMI. Sometimes the progress does not show on the scale!

Oh you are so brave. I do keep tabs on some of the information. Personally I don't like the scale since like you said Not all of the measuring is done there. I started a program at the gym in Dec. and have lost 13.5 inches since then and Not One Pound according to their scale. On mine it goes up and down. Been unable to go for the last 5 weeks due to surgery so I know some inches may have come back. Don't have full use of my left arm yet so I can't measure. Awesome idea to keep up with your program especially with the places where you may have not done so well....like a vacation. Keep on Progressing in your challenge. I am so Proud of you. Have a Super Day. Sue
