I DID IT!!!

So, I finally managed to complete Week1 Day 1 of C25K. I have been trying it over the past week but each time, I've been pushing Elliott in the stroller. Nothing like adding 25lbs to an already difficult workout!
So last night, right after getting back from a week in the field, my wonderful husband took the kids off my hands and let me go running. It was so amazing to get out on my own and head out on the running trail here on post. The sun was just going down over Cheyenne Mountain and it was wonderful and warm enough to be out in a tshirt and yoga pants.
I mapped my run and went about 2.3 miles in 30 minutes. I actually completed the first day of C25K! I am very proud of myself for pushing through it and getting it done. It's a great beginning for me. As soon as I heard the notification "You may now start your cooldown" (I am using an app on my phone) I immediately pulled out my phone and texted "I DID IT!" to Josh!!
So last night, Josh and I had a talk about the workout plan for me and we decided that pushing Elliott at this point is too difficult for me to do the workout so we determined that 3 nights a week when Josh gets home from work, I will go work on C25K, the rest of my cardio days will be a walk with Elliott in the stroller in the mornings while JJ is at school.
I am also going to start light strength workouts on two days a week. I weighed myself this morning and am down 3lbs since starting working out routinely and being conscious of what I'm eating.
Lots of good stuff happening in my world!!!
