No More Sitting on the Sidelines

Thursday, April 19, 2012

My daughter's birthday is coming up this July, and I am known for throwing spectacular parties for her. I make a big deal out of her birthday every year, and this year will be no exception. However, we will be taking a trip in lieu of the usual birthday bashtactular.

Since her birthday is on a Saturday this time, I plan to take her to Wild Adventures in Valdosta, GA. It is an amusement park, water park, and animal park all in one. Their tickets are actually twickets, meaning you can come two consecutive days for the price of one. Talk about a score! I just love amusement parks, and so does the little chip off the ole' block. I took her to the Turner Field Fair (Go Braves) during spring break, but my sister (who is younger and much more svelte) had to ride with her. I would not even make an attempt to ride with her for fear of being too big. Sucks royally, I know.

Since returning to SP a couple of weeks ago, I have really started to put my eating in check with noticeable results. I have about three full months before her birthday, so I plan to go hard and lose all I can so that just maybe, we can enjoy a ride or two together. I am dying to come off the sidelines and get in the game. My plans are to take her on a wonderful park-hopping Disney vacation next summer in Florida. I definitely plan to be ready by then. Wish me luck peeps!

Btw, I will be getting my Veggie Ninja certification tomorrow. I am hitting Aldi after work and it's on tomorrow. emoticon

What a GREAT motivator! I remember being so embarrassed that I couldn't ride the Hulk ride at Islands of Adventures because I couldn't get the over-the-head "seatbelt' over my chest to snap tight. And I love roller coasters!

Your daughter is going to have a great time, and SO ARE YOU!!!!

How does one be a Veggie Ninja? That sounds kind of fun!
