Getting off of meds!

Wednesday, April 18, 2012

I am so excited that in the last month, I was able to get off of Singulair, Allegra and this past week, Zythromycin that I took daily for almost 2 years! I am so happy to have been able to get off of the anti-biotic Zythromycin since my nose bleeds required week long nasal packing from the ENT in Mayo's Emergency Room, have been zero since November of last year. Amazing feat after weekly visits! At first when I stopped the anti-biotic, felt queasy due to the good bacteria flora re-buidling in my digestive track. Its great to not experience constipation and not having to take daily stool softener! The other two meds for allergies, knew did not help me, but, the new allergist wanted to try and when I wanted to stop, he wanted to see me with no appointments being a busy physician at Mayo! Waste of money and meds on my body for over 6 months! Yaay! Time to celebrate....
