Right on track...

Wednesday, April 18, 2012

I've started (SLOWLY) to add exercise to my routine. I have a goal to walk 5 miles/week, which is basically nothing, but at this stage I'd rather watch what I eat and not exercise so much. The last time I was working out so much, it was really hard for me to lose the weight (which sounds ridiculous but it's true!), and I would get confused when the tracker would change my target calories around. I don't want to take on too much too soon. If I can get the food part down solid then I will think about 'working out'.

My goal is really to incorporate more movement in my everyday life - things I don't need to track, like taking the stairs, etc.

The best part is today I walked with my husband! He's anti-movement all together, but I don't think he minded it too much. We had a nice walk, and did some errands. Growing up I lived 30 minutes (by car) to the nearest town so living in a place where you can walk to the store and the bank is pretty awesome sometimes!

Hello Augustagloop - love your name! Charlie and the Chocolate factory was one of my childhood favorites.

Good on you for getting some movement and for motivating your husband to do the same - I'm sure you're an inspiration to him as you are to us!
