The weather is cooler today, and I'm so glad because my body did not react well to the sudden rise in temperature, and swelled up like a balloon.
Today the scale was down 3.8 pounds which I'm happy about, but I still have about 2 more pounds of "bloat" hanging in there. I guess it's time to keep a water bottle handy . Right now I'm doing flavored water because I'm not a big water drinker. It's all about taste with me.
I was really upset about last week's gain until I figured out that the same thing happened last year only a little later in the Spring. Have to get this fluid retention under control before the really hot weather hits. So my challenge is to drink 8 cups of fluids, water based drinks, daily before bed. The bottle on my nightstand will be extra. Since I sit in a wheelchair most of the day, all the fluid goes south, and my feet look like melons! I have to get my feet up more often. There's always something new to work on when your weight loss journey is such a long road. I learn something new each day it seems. And it's never over.
Good for you Patty for your loss and your focus on drinking a lot of water based fluids. I enjoy water, but it has to be very hard for you, since you don't. Good Luck, hon, you know I'm always in your corner! 3038 days ago
WOW!! Congrats on losing 70 pounds!! That is marvelous, phenomenal, wonderful, inspirational to many here. I can't imagine, so how did you do it? Than recently another 3.8# ~ GREAT!!! I lost .4# and was pleased to have not gained. I have been on a cleanse and expected at least a pound. Water, yes that is vital. The amount I am supposed to drink per day on this cleanse is a gallon. Well, first of all - AWESOME on the 70 pounds gone!!! My feet are always swollen and with the warmer weather coming (and that I sit at a desk most of the day) my feet turn into melons also! So, this is a great reminder for me to work on increasing the water. I'm like you, it's gotta have some flavor to it!
You're right, there is something new to learn all the time with this journey.
