the wedding diet???

Tuesday, April 17, 2012

So i've heard a lot over the last few day about a new "craze" called the wedding diet in which brides are opting to be fed though a naso-gastric tube 800calories per day. The results being a quick weight loss for their special event. Being a nurse, I feel that while fairly safe this does carry risks. The most dangerous being to the potential for aspiration. Which can be life threatening. I can understand wanting to have quick results (although we all know that its more difficult to maintain) But why not just do a liquid diet??

I'm not a medical professional, but my recommendation, Bridezillas? Stay away from the wedding diet.

Did not do the wedding diet and could not see what the thing about that whole wedding diet thing was all about.

It took me a long time to get to what I weighed on my wedding day and unfortunately I have gained some back. Ready again to get that weight off.

And the wedding diet is very unhealthy
