Starting again this year with a roar!

I have a new plan this time. A better more refined plan that I will stick to.

I have a Personal Trainer - well I have one for 6 weeks at least, to get me going. And I am going to count my calories. These should make a major difference!

Already I am seeing the difference in the numbers on paper of my food. Unbelievable numbers! I started on Wednesday, same day as the beginning of my programme, and I am absolutely blown away but the numbers. I ate over 3000 calories on Wednesday and that's with only 4 small portions but unhealthy options. I had loads of butter on my rice which made it over 600 calories - just that - a bowl of rice and butter. I also had 3 lg pieces of chocolate cake with cream and it was over the 1000 mark. It was great seeing the numbers, in a painful way, because it explained why I can't reach ONEderland with the little bits and pieces I have during the day. A piece of cake here, handful of potato chips there, brownie here, ice cream sundae there. I thought they wouldn't make much difference but they were the difference between losing weight and fluffing around the same mark or higher.

The PT had made a difference too, because my body is still aching from my programme. I'm hoping it will get used to it and die down, but I'm sure by then my PT would have changed it - dang it! But it's all positive so I'm really inspired and motivated to see the difference the maths (counting calories and making sure I'm under) and the different exercises is going to show at the end of 6 weeks.
