Still time to pick myself up and do it right

Weekends are my enemy. On Fridays when everyone at work is wishing the workday would end I'm wishing I could work another two days because when I'm at work I eat nutritional food and do a great job of managing caloric intake plus almost every day I can put 20 to 30 minutes on the treadmill. Every Friday night, my hour drive home is filled with a battle between myself inside my I make dinner when I get home? Did I take anything out to defrost? Or do I ask the hubby to take me out for dinner and drinks...I'm so tired, I worked hard this week I deserve the treat of a night out. Then Saturday comes and all is lost for the next two days. Yesterday I tried to record everything I ate for Friday pm and Saturday (which I haven't done much of in the past because there's too much consumed to try to remember it all and write it down) When I looked at the totals it was a true shocker, almost like sticking a wet finger into the outlet... It's no wonder I gain everything back over the weekend that I worked so hard to lose throughout the week. 3000 CALORIES? WHAT??!! You're kidding me....I never felt stuffed....How did I eat that much??? Popcorn at the movies... A few peanuts and pieces of chocolate... Just one more's diet 7up.... Yes the 8-10oz steak with baked potate butter and sourcream...oh and don't forget the ranch dressing on the salad. OH, I just love the food I get to eat on Friday nights. Well here we are at a fork in the road. It's Sunday morning and I still have today to reset the wheels and get the train back on track going the right way. Not sure how I'll accomplish it with the day planned as it is...a trip into town to get the groceries and a few household items...because we live out in the country the trip into town almost always turns into a whole day ordeal and therefore that means eating out. Culvers, Pizza Ranch, The Grainery Buffet.....I do have a pork tenderloin defrosted and ready to try Chef Meg's Coco Crusted Pork, now just give me the will power to suceed today where I have always failed in the past. Just today, Just get me through today and then tomorrow will be alright. Now into the shower and the day begins on a wing and a prayer. XXOO

    Congratulations for tracking your food on Friday and recognizing where you went wrong. Tracking is so important because it really shows us in black and white where we need improvement. You are a success!! You know where your weaknesses are and you're trying to change them. Good for you! Good luck with today's trip to town!
