This contest may be just what I needed to get my butt into gear. Today was full of temptations successfully resisted. My family and I had gone to the MALL. The kids got cookies. Husband had delicious chinese food for lunch. I got a chargrilled chicken salad from Chick-Fil-A with Fat Free honey mustard dressing. Oh, and a bottle of water.
For dinner I made a Southwestern Tex-Mex Chicken Chili with beans, corn, and brown rice. It was delicious, but I managed to stop myself from having another bowl! Which is fine, it means there are plenty of leftovers to take for lunch during the week!
My workout today went really well. 35 minutes on the treadmill, running intervals for 15 minutes and then mountain climbing (gradually increasing the incline) for another 15 with a 5 minute cool down. According to heart rate monitor, 450 calories burnt. I was soaked, but it was well worth it.
Yes, I think this 5Gs is a very NICE motivator!
