3 of them decided in the last 2 weeks.
may 13 : 10 k Courir pour Handicap International, bois de boulogne
july 1 : 8 or 15 k (to be decided shortly) in the garden of the chateau at Versailles ! with a picnic afterwards. and my family's even going to come to this one. and we contribute to planting trees and restoring statues. and get goodies from clinique.
september 9 : 6 k La Parisienne, all women, a circle around the Eiffel Tower on both banks of the Seine. this was my first race, last year. i expect to be beat my time by at least 10 minutes ... hopefully more. and we hope to have a Spark team running this!
october 7 : the royal parks half marathon in London, running for Oxfam (and halfway to goal! when i get closer, i think i'll raise it).
last year at this time, i had just signed up for la parisienne and had just started C25K. and did not expect to like it ... but planned to give running a fair chance (since after all my sister loves it so much).
i think i'm hooked. certainly for running. now i'm going to give racing a chance (though i know i will always be a back-of-packer -- that's ok).
oh, and the half I want to do next year, if i ever get down to close to 2.5 h:
PS I should have said that i did the first la parisienne and am doing 3 of the subsequent races with Lizalot and without her I would never have signed up for any of them ... or probably even have finished C25K. Accountability partners who do it too are really helpful!!!
