How did it get to be Friday??!! This week has just flown by.
Last week, after a nice weight loss of several pounds bringing me almost to 25lbs total, I wrote how we shouldn't be surprised if others are not noticing or not saying anything yet.
This week (with what seems to be my pattern -- think I'm going to make a graph in fact) of no weight loss but no gain either (so Yeah!!!), I have people commenting constantly about my changes. At least 10 different people have mentioned the "giant" changes. How ironic is that??!! I just have to smile and enjoy the ride.
On the exercise front -- I've been really pushing it, for a variety of reasons -- will probably post about that later on the weekend. Trying to do 4.5 to 6 miles of walking /day plus 30-40 on the bike. Been loving the hula hoop -- can now do a half hour (give or take as the hoop does drop every now and then). Learning new tricks -- but I'm such a beginner -- still growing!
Okay -- so I did make my graph. The high points reflect amount of weight loss (not gained). The graph covers my 10.5 weeks and really accentuates Week One when I lost 9lbs (so motivating and proved to be exactly the fuel I needed to S.O.P. -- Stay on Plan). Also really helps me see, in a visual form, my body's pattern of losing, resting/stabilizing, losing
If I had been steadily losing 2lbs every week then my weight loss would have been: 10x2 = 20
Or, if steadily losing 1lb every week: 10x1 = 10
Instead –I’ve lost almost 25lbs with 6 weeks showing losses and 4+ weeks in between showing zero.
On some of the zero weeks, I was super on plan with only shakes and no bars (and no random tiny nibbles); other zero weeks – had a mixture.
What’s clear – even if I were losing 2lbs every week, I would have lost 5 lbs less than I have with my variations/fluctuations of numbers showing and zeros. Who woulda thunk?!
