I Am Such A Turtle!

Friday, April 13, 2012

emoticon Guys,
Thought I would let you guys know that I had finally lost 1 pound! So that makes 4 pounds total! I know, it's a loss, but why oh why am I such a emoticon! I am asking you to please hold me accountable I need to lose at least 6 more pounds before July! At my emoticon rate I just don't know if I will get there.

I have been scared to death all month as I have had stomach issues. Nausea and you know the other! The doctor has done a few tests on me and they are coming back with no signs of cancer! My grandfather died of pancreas cancer and this is something that I worry about a lot. He is thinking my diabetes are giving my digestive system a emoticon for there money. So it is very important to me that this weight drops!

This months goal is to stick with my diet and hold myself more accountable! This emoticon has to get moving! The emoticon numbers are going emoticon! I might be a emoticon but even they can move when they get emoticon

I pray you meet your goals! It's incredibly difficult to lose when there are health setbacks, but maybe you'll discover and be motivated by new ideas. I enjoy chair exercises now and then, for example.

I agree with LJCANNON about the water. It's so hard to "track" everything including the things the doctor has you doing, but I'd agree about the water as a great 'treatment' for the whole body!

I'm rooting for you, girlfriend! Don't let Chunky tempt you into forgetting your goals. She's trying to get to me right now, but I can't let her win. Like you, my health is at stake. Slow is FABULOUS. It works. Take heart. You can do all things through Christ, who strengthens you! emoticon

It's discouraging for those whose weight loss is very, very slow. That's why the Turtle team was created. You aren't alone in your struggle. Just keep on keeping on, Ms. Turtle. You can win the battle against that stubborn scale! emoticon

I can tell you that drinking more water, getting more protein, and consistently exercising is helping me, I hope you find the combination that works for you. I know I need to get more strength training in, it helped me last time I got on the plateau from...well you get the idea :-)

As long as you keep moving it doesn't matter how long it takes to reach your goal. Just keep moving forward and not back. Turtles win too.

How long have you been working out? I read an article recently that said you can work out for up to three months before you start seeing changes on the outside of your body (and on that stubborn scale). It said that during that time your body is busy changing things on the inside to be able to handle the new activities you're doing. If you've been at it for a long time it might just be time to mix up your routine. Also, something I've had some personal success with is alpha lipoic acid. Its an antioxidant that relaxes your fat cells so the fat just sort of comes out. Dr. Oz described it much better than that but it works!
