What a Croc!

Thursday, April 12, 2012

I'm just going to say it...I. HEART. CROCS. My husband thinks they're hideous, and I suspect this opinion is based on their original Mammoth Clog style. I've tried enlightening him to the fact that Crocs have come so far, and there are lots of different styles to choose from now. He won't budge, so we must agree to disagree. He also hates how our closet smells like fresh rubber when I put a new pair in my shoe cubby. I admit the strong, new-Crocs smell is pretty weird, but it dies down.

Unfortunately I can't go carte blanche with Crocs - some styles don't fit me well at all. But the ones that do work for me ROCK. The strange thought that my shoes are made of industrialized foam doesn't matter when it feels like I'm walking on clouds. I don't have any back or hip pain (which I am prone to), and they're crazy easy to clean. Here are my new favorite pair, fresh out this season:

As you may have guessed, they're modeled after Dr. Scholl's wooden sandals. I always liked those, but I think these are waaaay more comfortable. Yeah, I'm going to get them in the other two colors they offer. I have a feeling I'll get my money's worth this summer!

Those are super cute and I would never have guessed that they are Crocs.

But on the other hand... a part of me will always hate Crocs because of the original clog-style garden shoes they put out that people wore EVERYWHERE. It was terrible... Those things were meant for something easy to slip on and off for your backyard... not to go to the mall or work. Ick.

But back to the point... those are super cute :)
